The Unemployment Services Trust (UST) helps 501(c)(3) organizations save thousands of dollars annually on unemployment costs.
Did you know that by Federal law, 501(c)(3)s can opt out of the State Unemployment tax system and only pay for their own unemployment claims? The Unemployment Services Trust (UST) helps make this a safe and beneficial choice—preserving cash flow by building a reserve and monitoring all claims for inaccuracies. If you are a 501(c)(3) with 10 or more employees, you'll want to consider joining UST for a few reasons:
1. You eliminate a tax and turn it into a working asset for the organization.
2. The money you contribute to your reserve is yours, earning investment income, and portable if you leave.
