Tim Lannan Consulting's mission is to enable nonprofit organizations to discover and unleash their unique potential to make positive change. We focus on helping clients clarify their vision and purpose, what they hope to accomplish, and how best to leverage all organizational resources in pursuit of their mission.

TLC provides organization development consulting services to nonprofit organizations, with an emphasis on strategic planning, visionary governance, and effective management. We help our clients:

• Ensure alignment among all organizational components: purpose, values, strategy, structure, systems and processes, tasks, culture, and people;

• Empower boards, senior leadership teams, and other key groups to successfully leverage their collective wisdom;

• Assess current functioning and ability to achieve goals in context of the larger environment in which the organization works;

• Optimize organizational performance and the quality of work life.

TLC's approach recognizes that each organization has its own unique needs, culture, and mission. Rather than offering a "one size fits all" solution, Tim and his associates work collaboratively with key stakeholders to develop customized approaches that build shared ownership of lasting solutions.

TLC works with a broad range of clients in social services, the arts, advocacy, and other spheres – from grassroots groups to multi-site national and international agencies. Clients include Affinity Health Plan; Alliance for Downtown New York; American Civil Liberties Union; Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC); China Institute in America; Helen Keller International; HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society); In the Life; New York Regional Association of Grantmakers; Physicians for Reproductive Choice and Health; Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA), Planned Parenthood of New York City and numerous other Planned Parenthood affiliates nationwide; Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors; Sexuality Information and Education Council of the U.S. (SIECUS); The Broadway League; and the US Committee for United Nations Population Fund.

In addition to more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of not-for-profit management and governance, including eight years as a senior executive at PPFA, Tim holds a master's degree in Organization Development from AU/NTL (American University/NTL Institute for Applied Behavioral Science). He has also facilitated a range of group processes -- from one-day meetings and workshops to multi-day retreats for hundreds of staff and volunteers to yearlong strategic-planning and governance-redesign processes.
