Description of services:

Tea Parties for Breast Cancer Awareness -- a lively celebration of survival. In the two books that I have authored I cover my breast cancer journey from diagnosis to treatment and promote early detection, proper nutrition, exercise and education. As this condition threatens so many lives today, I cover this topic in an entertaining but informative presentation about my red carpet experiences with celebrities, marriage to a medicine man, my subsequent spiral down into the valley of breast cancer and eventual rise from victim to victor (60 minutes).

I have also written a book titled T-Time: A Rites of Passage Manual for the Adolescent Female, covering cultural traditions in Native American and African cultures regarding rites of passage for teenage girls. I perform such ceremonies upon request or provide training on how to do so. These presentations can be utilized as fundraisers.

Background on you and/or your business:

I am a five year breast cancer survivor and one of 4 sisters survivors. I discuss my breast cancer journey from diagnosis to treatment and beyond in my books using the “medicine” of humor. The conversation is lightened so that as audience members relax, they can be more receptive and less fearful of the information being shared. I have been touring the east coast to invigorate discussion about this modern-day piranha for women and unfortunately, for some men for the past three years. Additionally, my book on Rites of Passage has been well received by church and civic groups.
