I help organizations, businesses, and individuals with their written communications through training, coaching, and hands-on assistance. My workshops range from highly focused topics such as “Ten Secrets to All-Star E-Mailing” to comprehensive sessions covering keys to clarity, organization, brevity, correctness, aesthetics, and editing and proofing.
On the writing and editing side of my business, I like engaging in a project from A to Z, but I believe clients get a particular value when they turn to me for editing and proofing after developing rough or refined copy on their own.
Background on you and/or your business:
My communications experience consists of 23 years with two major nonprofit organizations and 13 years on my own––with many nonprofits among my clients. I aim to combine fundamentals with creativity. In workshops I don’t use PowerPoint. I identify strongly with the client and pride myself on establishing trust and rapport. My writing style is pointed and, I hope, personable.
In my let’s-see-if-I-can-get-published phase, my articles––most of them nostalgic or tongue-in-cheek––were printed in several local publications and the New York Times. (Four examples are on my website.)
