Description of services offered:
Managance - Pronounced: ma-nij- ən(t)s\ -noun. Organizing, administering and supervising with vision and intention to produce great results.
Because leaping takes planning we have mastered the art and science of facilitating powerful group processes that build organizational agreement and confidence to step up to everyday and extraordinary opportunities and challenges. With catalytic questions that appreciate the wisdom of groups and individuals, inspire setting aside out dated assumptions, and motivate risk taking that often seems impossible, our clients get energized to think bigger and have impact that really counts.
Our strategic and business planning work is rooted in the core principles behind Peter Drucker’s provocative questions, What is Our mission? Who is Our Customer? What Does the Customer Value? What are Our Results? What is Our Plan?
Beginning and ending with an organization’s identity as our foundation, including what difference an organization aims to make in the world (i.e. mission), 10-20 year vision , core operating values, customers and service logic, we lead our clients through multiple levels of strategy design that aligns with your unique organizational life cycle and culture. At the organizational strategy level we focus on overall strategic direction in response to customer needs and environmental pressures and opportunities. At the program strategy level we focus on the service delivery approach. At the operational strategy level we focus on the organizational mindset, structure, systems, talent and financial resources required for success.
Equally important is creating action plans in doable 12- month increments to ensure you have a road map for implementing your strategies. All of our clients also have the opportunity to use our customized Strategic Plan Tracking Database (formatted in Access) to help you monitor and easily report on your progress with your plan. We can also move with you into plan implementation, applying our facilitation, organization development background and coaching tools to strategically support your path to new accomplishments.
With our well defined but very flexible planning framework we design engagements to fit a wide variety of budget’s and capacity. The plans we deliver are written as a management tool and provide language and content that can be repurposed for all types of communication with your staff, donors, funders and more.
Our ideal clients are progressive nonprofit organizations, social enterprises and philanthropies that are doing great things and want a consultant/coach partner to bring together shared perspective among many voices to advance your organization to a new level of success. We are especially skilled at planning in preparation for a executive director/CEO transition in or immediately following a transition to develop a fresh shared direction and vision with new leadership on board.
In addition, we are available for individual and group coaching to strengthen organization management and performance anytime. We are especially interested in working with organizations to understand your organizational culture and to apply culture elements to strengthen leadership, management practices and overall organization performance.
