Description of services:

I currently provide consulting and accounting services to nonprofiits as part of my practice. This includes setting up internal computerized accounting systems with a focus on the establishment of effective internal control system. I will also come in and prepare your books for audit. Other services:

 ~  Preparation of an agency for the receipt of a new grant. 
 ~ Work to meet your ageny's complaince reporting of a new or existing grant.
 ~ Significant experience in working to assist an agency in downsizing its operation by creating a workout plan.

Background on you and/or your business:

I am licensed as a CPA in New York State and Florida. I am a Techinical Assistance Provider for the Homeless Housing Assistance Corporation since 1998. I have extensive audit experience in my own firm in Troy, NY for 13 years. My qualifying CPA experience was with the firm that is now Ernst & Young.

I also have 10 years of corporate accounting experience including financial reporting. I have 8 years of college teaching experience both full and part time. This assists in training one-on-one or holding seminars to bring staff up to date on the latest nonprofit rules.  I served for 5 -6 years on the NYS Society of CPAs nonprofit and exempt organization committees. I am currently serving on the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accounting Nonprofit Conference Committee and am in my 3rd year of service.
