Concordant Consulting, as its name implies, is a firm that is devoted to enabling non-profit organizations to function more smoothly, responsively, and respectfully among its various constituencies and stakeholders. Lines of authority in non-profits are becoming increasingly blurred, and our particular approaches can clarify those lines and help organizations plan and operate more successfully.

Since 2005, after Dr. Stinebeck's retirement from 40 years at all levels of higher education, including as college president, Concordant Consulting has focused on the growing confusion among stakeholders of non-profit institutions over how to function with mutual respect internally and grow and expand with vision externally.

Dr. Stinebeck's most recent publication, a novel on the Civil War entitled A Civil General (Sunstone Press, 2008), focuses on the remakable leadership qualities of the most successful general in the war (George Henry Thomas), now nearly forgotten by historians. Thomas was a Southerner who chose to fight for the North after West Point, and gave his life to the cause of holding the Union together through a decisive respect for all regions and races.
