Description of services:
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) is a management support organization that provides resources and information, professional training, and consulting services related to nonprofit management, governance and operations. CNE serves customers nationally for training and consulting, and internationally through our website, www.cfnpe.org. CNE's experienced staff assists nonprofits to meet their missions more effectively and efficiently. We have a library of over 800 volumes and are part of the Foundation Center's Cooperating Collections.
Background on you and/or your business:
CNE is a 501(c)(3) organization that began in 2001 and has served nearly 2000 different nonprofits and more than 5000 individuals with training, consulting and technical assistance and resources. We are funded by contributions, grants from many local foundations including the GAR Foundation and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, and the Sisler McFawn and Corbin Foundations, and earned income revenues from training and consulting. CNE has a staff of 3 full-time professionals and one libary intern. The organization is governed by a 13 member Board of Directors.
