Interview with Marcia BloombergMarcia is proud to be the featured interview for the week of November 1, 2011 on Beyond Success Online. To read the interview about why she created NonProfit Direct and to learn more about her, please click here. Hello: In my work in the nonprofit sector in Cleveland, Ohio and as an independent consultant in Massachusetts, I was frustrated by the lack of a one-stop-shop that features a listing of the consultants, coaches, grant-writers, web designers, executive recruiters, trainers, attorneys, accountants and others who serve nonprofit organizations. I had to do research by accessing individual websites in various categories to find whom and what I need. Needless to say, this is a time-consuming process. The directory is absolutely free for nonprofits looking for assistance to help them survive and thrive. Rather, consultants, coaches, vendors and specialists pay a low ONE-TIME fee for a listing. In order to have a listing, a business or service does not have to be a nonprofit; rather a business or service is being offered to the nonprofit sector. For consultants, coaches, vendors and specialists interested in a listing: As you will see, the profile listing form requires your contact information, a brief description of the services you provide, background on your business and an opportunity to include several testimonials and/or references. There is also a spot to list the names of and/or a link to articles, books, and blogs you have written. You will have a page that is a snapshot of your business or service. We encourage you to be as descriptive and comprehensive as possible. We will also create a link to your webpage, if you have one, so that an interested nonprofit can learn as much about you as possible. Nonprofits: Please check back regularly to view a growing list of consultants, coaches, vendors and specialists. Please note that we do not rate or evaluate any business or service or provide any guarantee of quality. The goal of NonProfit Direct: The NonProfit National Resource Directory is to provide an easy way for the nonprofit sector to search for resources by state and/or category of service. The site does not intend to duplicate the efforts of many wonderful websites that include job listings, articles and blogs to keep nonprofit professionals connected with one another and current on the cutting edge of nonprofit management. Pure and simple, NonProfit Direct: The NonProfit National Resource Directory is just that --- a directory that connects nonprofit management to the businesses, services and resources they need to succeed. Sincerely, Marcia Bloomberg |

The NonProfit National Resource Directory is a wonderful resource - all nonprofits should take advantage of the information it offers. More sources like this, of organized public information, is very needed for the nonprofit sector.
