1-2-1 Philanthropic Services, Inc. is the only national company in the United States that focuses on both candidates and employers in the non-profit market. Our mission is to connect management level candidates with non-profit employers by providing affordable, quality services for both groups.

Diane M. Carlson, CEO, founded the company in 2007 in order to bring her extensive knowledge of the non-profit marketplace to a large number of job seekers and non-profit employers. A trend-setter for 38 years in the non-profit arena, Diane has often faced the challenge of needing to employ hundreds of candidates at the same time to represent non-profit clients with quality.

Traditional search firms serving non-profit organizations have each largely focused on offering a small number (25-50) of new non-profit jobs each year to a small number of candidates. While much of this consulting work with employers is quality work, it is very limited and does not offer much support to the thousands of candidates who are searching for better jobs or to the thousands of non-profit organizations who want to fill jobs and can’t afford the traditional fees of 30% of the first year’s salary.

1-2-1 Philanthropic Services, Inc. is designed to connect management level candidates with non-profit jobs by offering affordable, tax-deductible job search services including support with job coaching, personal goal-setting, resume/personal marketing development, interviewing, getting the offer and, finally, negotiating the offer. Non-profit employers can now get into the “game” of using professional search services that have had prohibitive price tags in the past.
